I read in the news that being a COVID nurse is like seeing a building on fire. Instead of running away, we run into that fire, forgetting about ourselves and risking our lives to save others.
This is the situation of many other healthcare workers out there.
We show up even though we’re tired. We provide care to our patients even though we’re missing our families.
Why?
Because we know that our patients are also dreaming of returning to their loved ones. There are families out there who are waiting for my patients to recover, and I know it is my duty to help in that recovery.
Once again, I’m sending my prayers and good thoughts to all healthcare workers out there!
This is still our fight, and I am proud to be a part of it!
